This piece was inspired by the lakes and landscapes in Cumbria Lake District  during Autumn. I used a range of different shades of browns which create depth and also a peaceful, almost calming feeling I hope you can connect with. The rich metallic gold notes adds to the atmospheric feel as a whole and creates contrast. I love using texture, and this piece was no exception, especially the leaves and clouds so it doesn't feel flat and more life like. The sides of the canvas are painted in metallic gold. I had great joy painting this.

I took inspiration from where the sea meets the sky. The beauty and depth of the ocean, with different techniques such a texture to create the feel of coral and movement. The gold representing the horizon above the ocean, whilst creating a radiant glow and contrast. The texture of the white used to create a feel of the clouds.

I was inspired to create this piece by all the different stunning shades of brown I see in the leaves and the trees at my local park in autumn. The beautiful rabbits I see at my local field for walks. I love using metallic gold, the contrast and warmth it generates really brings my art to life. I use high quality acrylic paints from Winsor and newton and Daler rowney. I finish my painting using a gloss varnish.

I wanted to paint something which showed the beauty and calmness reflected of the ocean waves. Something to make you feel peaceful, but also intrigue. I loved creating the waves using different tones of blue, and lots of texture to add depth and substance. The birds and clouds I was inspired when going on my daily walks and observing the skies. I used a metallic silver to create some texture and highlights.

I was inspired to create a piece where the ocean is harmonious with the forest to create a painting with bold deep greens, but which create the movement of the ocean. I used texture broadly to create the feel and texture or the forest but also the ocean.
